Yesterday I turned 50. And it has truly been the most extravagant, spectacular weekend ever. Beyond my wildest dreams. The lavish way in which I have been loved, honoured, blessed and spoilt is mindblowing. The entire weekend has been a kiss from heaven. From having friends reach out with messages and gifts even before my birthday kicked in, to being so loved and pampered by the wonderful Kemi Koleoso at glorious COURAGE SISTERHOOD 2026 Conference where I had the honour of ministering on my birthday, to celebrating with so much love, joy and laughter with beautiful friends & family that evening, and then being so loved on and lavished by my beautiful home church River Church Canning Town today. Honestly I’m so undone. Undone. Undone.
Yesterday as I spent time with Jesus and prayed over this next decade of my life I found myself lamenting in deep regret at not having prayed enough, or stood enough or died enough in my life so far. Despite growing much in my Christian walk and becoming all the more devoted to our beautiful Jesus, I have fallen short in so so many ways. I was so acutely aware of this. It wasn’t from a place of condemnation at all. But with a fresh sober conviction, that we only get one life to live for Jesus. A life that passes by so quickly. We must not squander this life. Not a single day. Our lives must be spent pouring out all that we have on Him.
I want to live a life worthy of the calling I have recieved in Jesus. As I wept in the Lord’s beautiful presence, I said Jesus may this decade be my faithful fifties.
That is my prayer for this next season of my life. Lord please help me to be faithful. I want to be so faithful. Lord let me not have any regrets. Lead me Lord to pour out my love on You, no holds barred. That I may truly live for you. That I may truly die for You. Daily.
Thank you to everyone who made this beautiful marker moment in my life so special. It has been stunning. My heart is so full. I truly am a wealthy, rich, ridiculously blessed woman. With a life that is truly overflowing with the goodness of God. Thank you Jesus.
Happy Jubilee birthday to me. I’m so excited for this next decade.
