From coffee shops to church halls to arenas, Philippa Hanna is one of the brightest young talents in the UK today. Since the independent release of her debut album Watching Me in 2007, the Sheffield-based songwriter has become one of the biggest names in the UK Gospel music scene, and won the hearts of fans across the globe. Songs like I Am Amazing and Raggedy Doll have seen Philippa campaign for self-esteem in young people, and she is a tireless Advocate for children’s charity Compassion. 2012 saw her busiest year of touring yet, leading to an invitation to support soul legend Lionel Richie across 11 UK arena dates.
Fresh from this success, Philippa returned to the studio with Grammy-winning producer Eliot Kennedy (Bryan Adams, Spice Girls) to record the brand-new album, Through the Woods. She kicked off 2013 with her 2nd appearance on Songs of praise along with invitations to tour with Matt Summerfield (Urban Saints) and the Seriously Funny Tour in May (Adrian Plass & Jeff Lucas). Through the Woods will be released later this year and her second book is due for publication in the summer.
Philippa Hanna will be joining the legendary Wet Wet Wet on their Greatest Hits Tour along with boy band Blue for one night only in London.
